Just before Christmas 2014, my family and I rode the rails through the Alps to spend a few splendid days in Milan. We dined on fabulously greasy arancini amongst the stalls of a Christmas market in the shadow of the Duomo. When I woke the next day, Oliver and I walked through a deserted Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II to make a memorable photograph or two of the cathedral.
More to come from that Christmas in Europe - but for now, and in case I don't get a spare moment to post, a splendid holiday season to you and yours.
