Ida Noyes Hall, Spring 2010
Once upon a time, nearly a year ago now, I returned for a brief period to The University of Chicago, camera in tow. I visited a few of my favorite cavernous spaces, still packed to bursting with memories that grow older every day. Some of the massive panoramic images I took, you've already seen. Others remain buried on one hard disk or another. I couldn't resist a visit to the golden Ida Noyes Hall, where I made this ~380 megapixel panorama.
I'm in the frame somewhere, either headed down the stairs to The Pub for a pint (or three), to the door on the far left for a wedding reception or up the careworn, wooden steps to some meeting or other, held in one of the smaller rooms at the end of a long, richly carpeted hallway.
